Working to a Warner Bros. standard: The Friends Experience, Brisbane
Some jobs come with a normal sign off process. This one came with Warner Bros.
The Friends™ Experience: The One in Brisbane opened in April 2026 at Uptown on Queen Street, marking the first time the experience has come to Queensland Fever newsroom. It’s part of a much bigger footprint than a single Brisbane pop up. The Friends Experience has run in over 30 locations across North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including flagship runs in New York and Las Vegas Fever newsroom, and it’s produced by a serious lineup of names behind the show itself. The experience was created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, Original X Productions, and Warner Bros. Television Group Must Do Brisbane.
For Withers & Co, getting the call to supply merchandise for an experience at that level was a different kind of brief.
What we delivered
We supplied a full merchandise range for the Brisbane experience, including apparel, branded coffee cups, and the green apron worn behind the counter at Central Perk, the cafe at the centre of the show. Every one of those pieces needed to feel exactly right to anyone who’s watched even a handful of episodes, because fans notice the details that don’t match.
Why the approval process mattered
Every product we put forward had to be signed off by Warner Bros. before it could go anywhere near production. That’s not a formality. It means matching colours, finishes, and branding to a global standard set by the studio behind one of the most recognised shows in television history, with no room for a “close enough” version of green or a slightly-off logo.
Getting product approved at that level says something about where Withers & Co sits as a supplier. It’s one thing to brand merchandise for a local client. It’s another to have a global entertainment company put their name behind what you’ve made.
What this means for us
Projects like this don’t come along often, and they don’t happen by accident. They’re the result of twenty years of getting the fundamentals right: sourcing, quality, and creative that holds up under real scrutiny. Being trusted with merchandise for a brand as big as Friends is a good marker of what that experience adds up to.
